Semi Recessed Basins

A semi recessed basin sits partly into the vanity top, which leaves more bench space and brings the basin forward for easy reach. Ranges include ADP Australia, Kingsley and Caroma. Examples include Miya Semi Recessed 550, Lino Semi Recessed Basin and Humphrey Semi-Recessed Basin. Product pages list the sizes and finishes so you can compare before you buy.
What to look for

Check the depth of the vanity top, as semi recessed basins project past the front edge.
Style of install: decide between above counter, undermount, semi-recessed or wall hung before choosing a vanity or bench.
Tap hole and overflow: check whether the basin has a tap hole and overflow, as this decides which mixer will fit.
Size: measure the bench or vanity top and leave room for the tapware and elbow space.
